Youth Affairs Unit Services
The East Greenbush Police Department's Youth Affairs Unit is comprised of Juvenile Detectives, School Resource Officers and DARE Officers. Members of this unit handle all juvenile and youth related matters within the Town of East Greenbush and the East Greenbush Central School District town schools. There are (2) full-time School Resource Officers, that maintain offices at the Columbia High School and the Goff Middle School. These officers also teach the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program at the Genet Elementary School, Red Mill Elementary School, Green Meadow Elementary School, and the Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School.

The East Greenbush Police Department will provide free of charge firearm safety locks to East Greenbush Town Residents. A small form to fill out is available at the Police Station, or go to Forms on our website, print and fill out the form. Bring your completed form to us. The East Greenbush Police Department has partnered with Project Child Safe, a nationwide firearms safety education program to offer these locks to help residents safely store and secure their firearms.
